That's it, I'm going to have to defriend some people. I'm spending far too long reading lj and still not catching up. It's Thursday (isn't it?) and I still haven't read some entries from the weekend. I haven't updated my own, I'm behind in mail and bookcrossing entries and I haven't got enough work done.
So, over the next while, I'll be knocking some people off my friends list. It doesn't mean I don't like you. I doesn't mean you have to unfriend me. I do hardly any friends locked posts, so you won't miss much (I won't defriend anyone who's asked to be on the (rather inactive) weight loss filter). An (unfortunately!) it doesn't necessarily mean I won't be reading your journal, cos I'll probably check in anyway.
Depending on how things go, I might add people back when (if?) I get broadband at home. Or I might have to be more ruthless.

You know, if you do want to keep people on your friends but do not have time to read your friends list, you can make a default dfriends list which only contains the people you want to read daily....

I can second this course of action - it's been a sanity saver, on more than one occasion.

Still, sympathies!

I tried that. It's not working for me. It is helping me prioritise my reading, but I couldn't help feeling I still had stuff to read even though I rationally know I don't have to read it. Silly me. But thanks anyway.
