Masks

To see my other mask, and Tux modelling both of them, go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/mollydot/tags/mask/

I might take a picture of myself wearing them later. They fit me a bit better than Tux!

I may go shopping tonight to get feathers, depending on what time I get out of work. I might buy other supplies too. I realised yesterday I have no paint. I have some ink, and I have coloured pencils and markers (and glittery gel pens!!!), but no paint. I'm not sure what to buy. Watercolour? Gouache? Something else? I don't know what I'll be doing with them, but if I wait until hit by inspiration, I might not have what I need in time to do stuff for November. Yesterday I was thinking of painting an African mask on cardboard, so not watercolour, I imagine.

I've only signed up for 2,500 inches, but there 2,500 isn't an option for this counter, so 3,000 for now:
104 / 3,000
(3.5%)

If I was to go for 10,000:
104 / 10,000
(1.0%)

So, bit behind. I've lots of ideas for sabayone's first challenge, but I'm not sure if I have the ability. I thought about doing a digital collage on the day, but we have no internet at home, thank you Stupid Telecom. Downloading pictures at work to use at home would be quite unsatisfactory.

You do know that the Knitting & Stitching Show is on this weekend and they usually have all sorts of crafting goodies there.
*BEG*

Yeah, caturah mentioned it. I don't do stichy type crafts. What other stuff is likely to be there?
wyvernfriendwyvernfriend on November 3rd, 2005 02:39 pm (UTC)
There's usually a couple of stamp stands, some stands with stickers and stuff, wire, metals, stuff like that. Sorcha should be going if you want someone to pick stuff up. Me I'm hoping to maybe get a few hours so I can go but I'm not holding my breath.

You know I'll be there - both of you should send a shopping list over by tomorrow night if you want anything particular.

If you want me to look for something in general (e.g. books on such-n-such, feathers, glitter etc), also let me know, I'll keep an eye out, and contact you if anything strikes my fancy

As I said to wyvernfriend below, I'd want to see the stuff myself, so I probably won't ask you to get anything. I suppose it depends on how today's shopping goes too.

When are you thinking of going? If I go, it'll probably be Sunday.
dubnordie on November 3rd, 2005 04:50 pm (UTC)
I'm going Saturday. Bunch of "The girls" (the Knitting/Stitching group) are meeting there at lunchtime.

The only stuff I would pick up for certain for someone else is if they said "I want 3 bits of 20x20 cotton Aida 12 in cream" and the book "blah blah blah if under €15".

Probably wont return on Sunday, unless it's dead good and i've arranged to meet other people going.

I might go myself, perhaps on Sunday. I'd want to see the stuff.

I'll probably be heading along on sunday with a friend (of time undetermined as yet), but you're welcome to join us.

When on earth were you thinking of going there? :D
Good point!

[mollydot] - I'm totally behind in mine, but if I figure that even if it gets me do one piece of something every day or thereabouts, it's worth it.

Yeah, I'm saying I'm behind, but actually I'm quite happy. I'm frustrated about the internet thing though, because it's something that's stopping me that really shouldn't be and honestly isn't my fault.

(BTW, I'm being a bit shy about my name on LJ, so I'm deleting your comment, all the text is quoted in this one though, just with the name changed)

Oh yes, for anyone else reading this, the italicised text in my comment above is from a comment from sabayone.

No worries.

I screened it instead of deleting it in the end, which I think means the two of us can still see it.

if everything goes really well maybe saturday or sunday, but I'm so not planning to go unless I end up nearly at breaking point and needing to get away from it all for a few hours.

The only way I figure I could do it Saturday is that once packed stuff can't be moved from Capel Street until Sunday so if it's all or all bar clothing and books for that night/day done there's no reason I shouldn't mooch off.

Kinda incentive for me to get it done too!

No, it will probably be one of the last things to be packed, himself is talking about nuked food for the next few days.

He suggested earlier when I was talking to him that we might tackle the kitchen tonight.

I see lots of binbags in my kitchen's future.
