Sea of Green - AIDS Partnership with Africa
We are looking for everyone in Ireland to support the text campaign surrounding the Ireland France game this Saturday

Aids Partnership with Africa ( www.apa.ie) with the support of the Irish Team are planning to turn Lansdowne Road into a "Sea of Green"

Please support APA by texting the word " HOPE " to 57112. Each text costs €1.50 which means you can send 3 texts for the price of a pint. Please send 3 texts and drink one less pint over the weekend!

By Sunday we want people in Ireland to have sent 100,000 texts. With 8,000 people dying of AIDS everyday in Africa, 100,000 texts will equate to keeping 100,000 people alive. C'mon, we can do it.

For those of you outside Ireland, please log on to www.apa.ie for ways in which you can help.

OT
May I please pop in here, with an OT reply?

I read your reply [concerning gmail] in gothwalk's LJ. A friend gave me an invite last week and helped me set it up. I wanted it, because I miss being able to send emails in pretty Fonts and pretty Colors and etc. [I'm now on a Mac, which I _love_, but miss the *pretty stuff*]

And so far, the only one who can get my gmail, is the guy who set me up with it! Some people get plain mails with no "pretty" stuff. Some get just blank mails. Or worse than that, some of my gmails, don't even show up in their Mail Box.

A lot of people use gmail. I wonder why I can't. Wonder if you have to have gmail installed, to receive it... But that doesn't make any sense. How could people use it, as their primary mail, if that was so? :-(

Thanks for letting me whine here. :-)

Re: OT
Er... pretty fonts and pretty colours? I didn't know you could use them with gmail. I certainly don't. I don't suppose you have any idea what he did to set it up?

If somebody's mailer can't deal with pretty stuff the mail should show up plain. So that's not an issue, unless they can show pretty stuff from other people.
Blank mails are obviously more worrying! It's possible again that their mailer can't show pretty stuff and either gmail isn't attaching a plain version, or the mailer can't find it.

Tell you what, I'll friend you and post a couple of email addresses you can try.

Oh yes. *Milions* of fonts and *millions* of colors, to type them with. At least, I have...

Thank you so much!!! And my gmail is ........... slonuzday at gmail dot com

And ...... I just went and checked my gmail and.... I have 2 replies, which I'd missed. But! They're from other gmails users. The quest continues. :-)
