my holiday twittering (Tranz Alpine train trip)

08:15 On Tranzscenic. So so tired. But I've given a #bookcrossing book, Tiger Eyes, to a non bookcrosser! Nuteile explained. Train is starting now #

09:00 Having my first L&P, Lemon & Paeora, a soft drink World Famous in New Zealand. Drank litres of it on our last trip. Also fond of ginger beer #

09:07 Great meal last night in Ginkgo. 19 of us. Our table of 9 gave waitress price we wanted to pay and asked for good selection. Delicious. #

09:15 Some people: futurecat, lyttletonwitch, sherlockfan libertine101, rarsberry, newk, bookworm77, lizmopuddy, miketroll&co, awaywithfairies... #

09:18 Oh, and Skyring & DiscoveryLover, fresh from whalewatching. Much of the same people on train now. No SherlockFan - doing convention duties. #

10:50 Went through the Canterbury Plains. Then into mountains. Beautiful. Nuteile recognises some of it from the plane! #

12:14 Got my copy of Bookcrossing Through Middle-Earth signed by the author :-) #

13:15 Greymouth very rainy. Sideways rain in places. In a cafe rather than sightseeing. Much better idea :-) #

14:20 Despite best efforts, couldn't get seats together & are quite split up. Seats not as good as way out. My stuff got wet in my bag. Grumpy nut #

17:44 thought of another reason NZ is good for LOTR-Tolkien was writing a mythology for England, set when the world was younger. So mountains=new #

17:59 Getting darker. And harder and harder to stay awake. Don't know if I have any decent photos - loads of reflection in the windows. #

Sounds as if you are enjoying it. Great to catchup with the two of you againm, even if it is only in brief moments.

I am!

And with you too.

I was in a wool shop in the Arts Centre. They have some nice wool in various shades of purples. I'm debating buying some. Or maybe even some green.
