my twittering (google/astronomy)

19:36 Google has given me no results for Astronomy Ireland. That can't possibly be right. #

19:38 Ok, who broke Google? Searching for just astronomy is giving me news and images, but no normal hits. #

Astronomy Ireland will try to sell you stuff and make money out of you - it's a commercial entity.

What you really should be looking at are these people - Irish Astronomical Society - http://www.irishastrosoc.org/

Too late! I joined them already at their astronomy day in the science gallery. Which was disappointingly commercial. The talk I went to was good, and one of the demonstrators, but the rest was either selling things or school projectish.
I suppose I mostly joined for the sky diary in the magazine, but half way through december, I haven't received an issue yet!

Have you ever been to one of their starbecues?

Thanks. I tried again a couple of minutes later and it worked.

I should have been able to guess the address, seeing as I had a magazine in front of me with the editor's email at that domain :-)
