my twittering (tiny hats, driving)
  • 23:52 Did my first 2 I-cords today. They really are as easy as the name (idiot cord) suggests. 3 tiny hats knitted now. 2 complete; 1 needs bobble #
  • 17:17 Argh. Had to hill start and reverse up a hill. I have enough difficulty reversing on the flat! #

Pics will come at some point!

TiK are accepting hats for a while, aren't they? Do you know when the last date is?

I've four done now! (Except for the bobble on the first)

In lieu of photos, descriptions: You've seen the first, a simple hat with colour changing yarn; second is the strawberry pattern from the handout; third is a white one with a stalk; and the fourth is a rib with thin red yarn and thicker white yarn. I'm thinking of doing a brown and white one with a stalk next.

who in their right mind would reverse up a hill?!! Poor you!

Very narrow road. Van coming the other way. The nearest space to pull in was behind me. Though it probably would have been faster for the van to reverse the whole length of the road, given the time it took me to get up that hill. I kept aiming for the ditch :-)

I hated reversing round a corner & up a 4 in 1. I failed my test on that

What's 4 in 1?

I hate reversing round corners too. It the main thing stopping me from applying for a test now.

A very steep hill: I think on OS maps hills are marked with little arrow(s) pointing downwards if they're that steep. I think the correct term now is a 25% hill. Some of the hills around Aberystwyth feel as if you go UP 4 feet for every foot you go alongwards

Ah. I don't know how steep this was. Reasonably steep. More of a problem going backwards than forwards :-)
