bem was adamant at 1 point that she wouldn't change her name on marriage, but as the years go by she wants nothing to do with her father ~ he has no mention on her marriage certificate & she wants to drop Vyvyan as well as his surname as that is 1 of his names that he passed on to her. The only thing that worried her was that in dropping her maiden name, she was dropping my surname as I changed mine ~ *political reasons really & I like being awkward! If I change my surname now it would have to be through marriage (NOT likely) or I'd take my mother's g/mother's name of Fennell, but I love the pause, apology or struggle that follows my first name when used by non-Welsh speakers. I'm happy with just 1 name anyway (OK 2: Killi & my other!)

* being England in Wales ~ not good, in Ireland, very not good!

She could take Fennell or your maiden name as a middle name.

bem is BethanMyfanwy Vyvyan Amphlett neé Llwyd ~ quite long enough & I named her Bethan anyway! I wanted her to be Eirlys, but s wouldn't let me have a grey snowdrop, so in the reverse of the Snow Spider she became Bethan. The year she was conceived was the year The Snow Spider won the Tir na n'Og & I was working for the awarding body :)
