grouting questions
For floor tiles, should we go with ivory grout, which will look better with the tiles, or grey grout, which will not look dirty so quickly? The tiles are random mosaic, with each bit being about the size of a pebble, so there'll be quite a bit of grout.

Master en-suite, so it'll be mostly us seeing them.

Spose it depends on which looks worse, grey or slightly grubby ivory. I think I'd go with the ivory. Grouting's a pain in the ass to keep clean anyway, so it's not making that much difference. (Though I should note that this is coming from someone who has not cleaned the grouting in her shower in at least five months. Fail.)

Good point.

It's good to get advice from someone with similar housework proclivities :-)

Ooo. One vote each way. I should have done a poll, shouldn't I?

do one now :)
Ps: my vote is based on me being lazy.

Lazy is good :-)

My understanding is the grey grout is for flooring as it is a heavier grout for the area where most weight is on it. What does your tiler say?

Thanks for your comment.

If I remember correctly, we had previously agreed ivory. He called yesterday to ask again, and talked to my husband. As far as I know (not having talked to him directly), he's suggesting grey only for dirt, not for other practical properties. This is a wet room type area (no shower tray), so we need special grout anyway. It could be that there's a smaller range of colours in that type, but still a range.
