  • 14:26 if the plumber knows in the morning that he won't come that day, why won't he bloody tell me instead of having me wait in all fucking day? #

These tradesmen are all the same. One of the locals here does advertise that if they are not there within 24 hours there will be no charge. Not sure whether that is an incentive but is surely should be. Perhaps you can suggest that.

Unfortunately, we're renting and it's the plumber that works for the management company. I have waited in so much for him. If I had a choice, we'd be trying other people by now. And probably have got it fixed months ago.

Bastard.

I was gonna come round yesterday but I went for a very long spin and I forgot my phone. D'oh.

I feel your pain. One Friday afternoon I had to wait in for the gas man. It wasn't too bad because I had to stay in to clean the flat for a dinner party that night. During a drunken game of poker at 10pm that night the gas man phoned to apologise for not coming!

Oh no! I hate that. and my washing machine is on the blink, (the spin drier sounds like it has a pair of shoes in it)and I'm dreading having to get a repair man in.

Hopefully you won't keep being strung out like I am...

My builder & plumber/electrician have disappeared. The builder was meant to relay the buckled wood floor & the plumber should have reconnected those radiators already put in that he disconnected before b ing off.

Such peoplekeep the bad reputations of their trades going.

Oh, my exbuilder "forgot" to tell me that he wouldn't be here 1 day because his wife didn't give him a hospital letter, so he took it out on me. I was furious as Annon & I could have gone out that day & I'd told her that we couldn't because the builder was coming

Argh! How frustrating. And once someone has started something, others are very reluctant to take it on.

& they've left lots of odds & sods to be finished off, as well as the 2 rooms that need complete renovation. Oh well, it'll be done one day :)
