The Band Aid Dilemma....
You want this record to succeed, because you feel for the plight of the refugees in the Darfur region of Sudan and this project is funding aid projects on their behalf. However, you hate this recording and feel your musical ego looming and refusing to be bruised.

What I hate is the amount of bitching that's going on cos "that band didn't get invited" and "what's she doing here?" between all the singers on the album. I mean, come on, it's for frigging charity! Get over it!

To be honest, I haven't been paying attention. I heard the song a couple of times recently, but couldn't tell you whether it's the old one or the new one. But I'd agree with you, bitching is not called for.

If youpay attention to the song, the new one isn't as good. And once you notice it the first time, it's obvious. The new one just doesn't have the life the original had. No wonder, with the "spirit" the new one was entered into in.

I've been listening to the radio in work, and they give useless (well almost) bits of celeb gossip every few hours.

BTW, mean to say, sorry I couldn't make your bday drinks last friday!

I hardly ever listen to the radio, so I miss out on that important information :-)

No worries, too many things on around Christmas. It was funny, people were coming in shifts, as most people who came had something else on before, or after, or even both.

Geek coffee....
Not a dilema for me. The song is shite (well, this recording). I have a foster child through Plan International <http://www.plan-international.org/>, and I feel I ma giving far more, and better charity that way, and have more information about where my money is going.

There you go, ruining a good website with reality!
No, you're right, it's best to go more direct.
