1000 photos
I have a thousand photos up on flickr!

Here's the 1000th, from our BCie trip to Cork. A bunch of Dublin (and surrounds) bookcrossers, plus Wyando and Glowstars from Germany, went to Cork for a day. Microsquid organised lunch and a literary quiz, then we released books, pubbed, ate, and back to Dublin. It was a great day.

It was our wedding anniversary on Monday, so we went to the midlands overnight and visited Clonmacnoise and Birr. I've a good chunk of the Clonmacnoise photos up, but none yet of Birr, where we went to see the telescope, which was the largest in the world for 50 years.
I get bored putting up the same bunch of photos, and people probably yet bored seeing them, hence the sudden switch to the Cork trip ones. I've been putting them up in batches.

You won't see much in the Cork set unless I've friended you, so, as always, let me know/remind me of your flickr username so that I can. And if you think you might be in any of my photos, let me know if it's ok to make them public - I generally default to friends only.

Some other partially up sets:
Glendalough, from a walk with college friends a few weeks ago.
Ireland 2006, from our holidays last year
Holidays, from holidays other years to Iceland, Spain, Australia.

Some finished sets:
Inannajones & gothwalk's housewarming in March.
One time I met weird people off the internet.
I had thought at the time that I'd upload the pictures and then journal, but they're so long ago now that I won't. Suffice to say, I really enjoyed both. And the second one has given me a new appreciation for rugby - it's full of cuddles.

Thanks! I just wish I'd got mr_wombat walking into the door :-)

You're ok with the photos of you being made public aren't you? I think you've said it before, but I want to be sure before going ahead and doing it.

Cool, ta. I'll probably unprotect them over the weekend.

No, we don't have a tv signal and never bothered sorting it out. I might be able to catch it on the interbets later.

They were very lovely internet weirdos.

Just a tad...

Ooo... interesting. Thanks.
So of course, that guarantees that they'll be up to scratch if FG get in. I'm sure he's not point scoring :-)
But it is a good sign. And it would be easier to pull them up on it if they get in and don't improve things.

What about people who don't have flikr accounts? All I'm seeing is cats, boots and the back of people's heads.

Create one? Unless you have an anti-flickr or anti-yahoo stance.
I'm not putting people's faces up publically unless they tell me I can, because I'm not putting my own up, so it seems rather unfair.

I don't know why I went so mad with the boot pictures. Some of them seem quite popular. I wonder if the viewers realise he's a man.

I'm not anti-flikr, I'm just anti-having to sign up for *another* account with *another* password for *another* site that I have no intention of using myself and won't be able to remember in a week's time. Maybe I'll just live with the boots and get Tom to show me the rest when he's around, as he's all flikred up.

Ah yes. Good point.
Do you have a yahoo account already? I don't know if you need to do anything to make it usable with flickr (I'm old skool), but you do need to use a yahoo account to log in to flickr, so it's not any more sign in details to remember.

I know I can create links to make individual sets viewable by non-members. I might be able to create one to make everything viewable. I'll take a look and put it in a friendslocked lj entry if I can.
