haiku madness!
Even niallm is writing haiku. His are a little more high brow than mine.

And now Lovely Man is joining in, against his will:

help me please, i am
infected by the desire
to write a haiku

please help me, i have
been catapulted into
the land of haiku

pray, what can i do
to escape this haiku trap?
a rope, anyone?

Is your "currently reading" new? I don't remember it, but it is awesome!

Thanks! It is new. It's hand done html at the bottom of my entry, based on the mood code:

I would have the image linked to the BC entry if I had got round to journalling it (bad mollydot, no biscuit)

Oh, I previously sort of had it - I'd changed current music to currently reading and put in a book instead of a song. But then it was all silly on my friends page, and I presume my entries were silly on other people's, so I stopped. But if you're looking at old entries of mine, that explains why I'm listening to Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, for example.

I recently read Empress Orchid. It's very good, but it's almost like science fiction as it's so far removed from our frames of reference.

The woman in the jar though - yeurgh!
a very caring potato: shockmollydot on September 5th, 2006 09:09 am (UTC)
That was horrible! When she first said it, I thought she didn't actually mean lived, I thought the woman was dead in a jar.

I want to see the Last Emperor. I presume he's the child in the book.
lazy_hoorlazy_hoor on September 5th, 2006 09:19 am (UTC)
Yes, I think he is the child in the book though I can't remember her being in the film. It's a good film though, worth checking out.

I'd wanted to see it when it came out, but never got around to it. Like many, many films.
lazy_hoorlazy_hoor on September 5th, 2006 09:43 am (UTC)
Yeah, I only saw it for the first time last year!

Amadeus, Breakfast in Tiffany's, Casablanca - to name but three fillums I've yet to see.
a very caring potatomollydot on September 5th, 2006 09:58 am (UTC)
I've seen most of Amadeus, but otherwise - me too!

Good to see you using the proper Irish pronunciation.

Fillum, buke, ojus weather - I've been schooled well!
a very caring potatomollydot on September 5th, 2006 10:33 am (UTC)
Had to think about the ojus, I haven't seen that one before!

You're not from Cyaaaavan then...

No. Definitely not.

For which you can be thankful!
a very caring potatomollydot on September 5th, 2006 12:23 pm (UTC)
Absolutely!
Dublin born and bred.

(If anyone from Cavan is reading this - no offense. That makes it all right then, doesn't it?)

I LOVE the currently reading idea. I am going to snag the idea if that is cool with you :-)
a very caring potato: fireflymollydot on September 6th, 2006 07:04 am (UTC)
Not a problem at all. The code is in a comment above.

Poor Lovely Man! All these comments, and none about his haiku!
Angelainnae on September 6th, 2006 07:49 am (UTC)
I thought the haiku was amusing...and once you get rolling, you start haiku-ing everything!!!
a very caring potatomollydot on September 6th, 2006 07:58 am (UTC)
Thanks, I'll pass that on!

Amusing haiku -
once you start you cannot but
haiku everything

Looks like you're right :-)
